Rio 2016: Day 2

Photos: Matias Capizzano / capizzano.com | Those above were the views today at Rio, the ARG sail leading the way and as you all know I’ve always been a Laser & Finn fanatic….! What a performance by Julio Alsogaray leading Laser overall ater four races and Facundo Olezza who opened the games with a bullet and holds 3rd overall after two, 21yrs old and irst Olympic regatta for him.
So tough in every sense to sails these dinghies, not even to lead an Olympic regatta in such a fleet. Still much to go but hat off to both.  Downwinds are exasperating to watch at least for me.
I hope one day all these talented sailors can have a performance platform to develop their skills to the fullest, say a Devoti One style dinghy.

Tomorrow is time for Cats to blast the bay.
Besson & Riou: The info I have from Rio is that they will start, but today Billy was taken out from the ramp in a wheel chair… All our good vibes for Billy & Marie.
