F18 GER. Ostseepokal 2025: Win for Helge & Christian Sach

F18 Germany Ostseepokal (Baltic Cup) Regatta 2025

Past weekend the German F18 Class had the Ostseepokal2025 regatta at Scharbeutz, near Travemunde. Top local teams like Helge & Christian Sach were present. The fleet had a special guest from Argentina, 2024 F18 World Champ helm, Pablo Volker. Pablo was invited by Dirk Bleiker to coach and race the event. The Argie sailor is dong a pre season in Europe, with coaching at the Netherlands too.

At Scharbeutz they had good breeze and shifty conditions mixed with excellent 15 knots the last day, which made for a total of ten races. The Sach brothers (Akurra), 2006 World Champs and still top international players, won the regatta 1pt ahead Jesse & Sven Lindstadt (Evo / Kangaroo Sails Loft owner)

The Argie visitor sailed with a local crew Edita Wendborn, who gave it all in the harsh conditions and took two bullets as reward in the more steady breeze of the last day. Great experience for her no doubt. Hopefully got amped for more F18 racing. 3rd place overall for them sailing a Scorpion with Kangaroo sails.

Next stop for Volker is the Texel Round this weekend. Pablo had a great time with the German F18 fleet, who threat him specially , having a great time. Racing vs the Sach Legends at home is one great experience for any F18 sailor.
