Sailing ETNZ AC72: Day 3, S+L+T Foils revealed

Finally the S+L Foil dagger
revealed. Never saw this combo. It also has T rudders. This Cup will blow our minds for sure at SF, but maybe the boats will ‘blow’ too…?! Whichever the case, someone is going to Fly. Images Chris Cameron (I think, as they didn´t credit them) and report at Etnzblog.com

I think the more important note is that the rudder is controlled by a wand. Similiar to a Moth. It can be seen in the circled daggerborad image. This would control the height of the hull. Peter S

That thing not is not visible in other images, or on the leeward rudder system, it seems more like a cable/rope.

The boat is not ment to fly…they are just reducing wet surface.

Well of course, you've not been reading the site I guess. I always remark that one every article here on Fischer Mayfly and F Phantom project…that use a simililar concept:
    https://catsailingnews.com/2012/07/learning-to-fly-ii-flying-phantom.html

I always differentiate hydrofoil types with these kind of solutions.

Whichever the case Luna Rossa SL33 and Oracle AC45 got some flight moments (not that controlled) , and I think we'll see some hard times at SF too.
