FPs @Eurocat 2015, Day 3 Video

Sadly no match against the F20s , only OD course racing for both fleets as Long Distance was cancelled. Also the  announced nr of boats was less, Alex told on Thursday on the weather conditions was a factor.
I’m sure next year we will see more FPs and F20s, and some Box Rule racing among different foilers in the course racing arena too. I pretend to put one, hull is already being built, got pics yesterday of mold.

In the meantime the Pro FP crews take the advantage to train as the Nacra camp did, with good fresh Carnac breeze. Gurvan & Ben showed the flight hours count and won over Besson-Vandame & Cammas-Joubert.  Check video above with Cammas talking on their improvement, it is not easy to sail the foiler in the breeze less to race, but hours on the water as always gives you confidence and the FP races will become quite dynamic next months.

Asked Nacra for pics & video from last day, nothing available yet. There are some good ones pics on a French

Report by FP: Flying Phantom Series Eurocat 2015 – Day 3

“For the final day of racing at the Flying Phantom Series Eurocat 2015, the weather was much milder than the previous day in Carnac.

In the morning the wind was blowing at 20 knots, settling down to 17 knots. After a brief wait ashore, the competitors sailed to the race area for the last 3 races of the event. The showdown between the top three teams was really impressive with a lot of lead changes and tactical battles upwind and downwind. In this contest,

Gurvan Bontemps and Benjamin Amiot were the most consistent in their results and with their experience of the Flying Phantom they managed to win 1 of the three races enabling them to achieve overall victory.”
