Oracle AC72 x 2 Video footage

This is what I’m talking about on supporting this Edition, great video by Oracle.
This is not sailing as some knew it before, this is just another sport all together, with amped sensantions & vibes just from seeing it in film.

Having Darren Bundock involved is just a nice feeling and a big reward for his long carreer racing two hulls.
Cards are on the table, no time , no need to spend efforts in rules discussion, Oracle should stick to their project and race as intended by the Original rules, they look good, so define this on the water, we don´t want more legal nonsense.

In regards to the comment "Oracle should stick to their project and race as intended by the Original rules, ". Why do you think Oracle has something to do with the rule change? I believe Oracle have just agreed to the 37 safety recommendations put forward by independant review committee. Jim Farmer QC was a member of this review committee who was a ETNZ board member.
Now Ian Murray who is Regatta Director has enforced the recommendations to get the racing permit from the US Coast Guard.

Ian Murray is from the Event Authority which is a independent body to run the event to avoid the problems of previous Cups.

I did see a interview where James Spithill has said he did think the adjustable rudder elevators are safer, he goes as far to say the safest thing is to be able to change them while racing but concedes that wont happen.

Apparently ETNZL & LR current rudder wings are the largest and do fit the new rule for the minimum size.

So besides the ETNZL press releases why do you believe Oracle is behind the rule change?

There is not much to analyze when you have ETNZ going for a protest. If ETNZ think they don´t need the rule change …

Read previous post, there is no such "safe rule change to prevent pitch poles" regarding Design at this stage, as a rather safe ride in 25knots in San Francisco is only achieved going for the right design since day 1 on the drawing board, or at least a progressive path towards it. Of course you can achieve your goal at 100% or not.

It is a No-Brainer and pure Common Sense.

A Design change to make "boats safer to prevent pitch poles" right now it is an indication that some boats are not prepared to have a safe ride, but the BIG problem for this rule change is that the Kiwis think they are ready, thus permitting such a change will harm, in their view and many others like me, their chances or supposed advantage in the "Safe anti pitch pole Ride " field.
