Nice performance for the Argie crews. 4th and 5th overall at the Nacra Inf Worlds. Juan told me that they are going to stay there… , so maybe I’ll only see them again next year at Texel? This year I’m going to LA, and the next plan is to experience the Texel , the biggest catamaran event World Wide.

Bundock & Jeroen leading the rest of the fleet at the Dutch Open, followed by Mischa-Bastiaan , third, one of my 2012 bets, Oscar Zeekant and Karel Begemann.
Larsen-Frank tied with deKoning-Visser , followed by Veenman-de Waard with both arg crews behind over 35 boat fleet.

Bundy: “Good day at the Texel Dutch Open we scored 1,1,2 and sailed the last race with a broken spinnaker halyard for the final downwind. It ain’t to fast with no spinnaker.
Wind was better than the forecast and it was double trapeze all day. First 2 races from the SW and final two races from the east (off the island) so a bit patchy and shifty.
Currently leading the event and plenty of breeze forecast tomorrow.

    Open Dutch:
Fun event, great and extremely helpful officers who are all smiles. But to restore this regattas former glory they will need to do some management and planing changes.
1 regatta not 2: why combine Nacra worlds with Dutch open ???? Splitting the group.
To pay a lot of money extra (in addition to the start fee) to be in the pitlane …… Alternative is to be thrown on the beach where other happy armatures does not know how to sequre their boats……… Not good and also socially dividing.
Educate the race officer: for us to race 30 min and then sit there for 60 min is simply no fun. Excuses like difficult wind is incorrect and pathetic especially when it happens between EVERY race.
The Current effects us sailors a lot and you need to adjust the line and the course for that: if you are unsure what I mean you should ask any of the top boats who will all be happy to help you.
To use the fast strong ribs for VIP guests and the small ribs for moving the marks?? On top of that taking the marks 1 by 1 when moving them……..
Anyway, some changes and I will for sure come back.
