I don't like that Virtual Eye lameness either. They are recording it so why don't they broadcast it? Might as well watch guinea pigs eat.
It seems at every event-location AC does something to slightly ruin the broadcast experience, except at Cascais. At Plymouth America's Cup opted to use YouTube's automated resolution stream. That was a frustrating experience of choppy, stop-and-go streaming failure. Then in San Diego they don't broadcast the fleet racing! Now in Naples they don't broadcast the Match races!
How hard can it be simply stream everything, do a good job and then upload HD replays? They already did it once, for crying out loud.
Only in Cascais was the online coverage great, well rounded and complete. America's Cup broadcasted all the races, and uploaded all the FULL race day replays in HD, 720p (except for the first day, which is in 360 low def, for some odd reason).
