ISAF Multihull Trials 1967: The Beginning

How come this kind of material is not widely available is beyond my comprehension. As for ie the Tornado Medal Race from Beijing. But kudos to isaf to publish this.
Being a surfer as a kid I had plenty of material on the old days (Surfer Mag etc) I knew the history of the sport from A to Z, but with Cats? Only people present at that day or old fanatics can say they ever saw this, even in pictures.

Spray rails, Wing Mast… all back in 1967, when the Olympic dream was born.
Priceless material.

Nice video! Had no idea there such cats then. Most of them look like random home-builds.

I don't think most understand that the B cat, was the tornado designed by Rodney March.

    The A was Charlie Cunningham

The C also know for it wing mast and "little America cup 25' 14 beam.

This was posted on Messi ,I think it goes here…he.

Fantastic movie! Thanks a lot! Straight from catamaran mythology!

And look at that equipment, and the daggers, and rudders, and hulls, and sails, and and and.. Fantastic fun! The differences to todays best cat performers are not massive, just iterative.

Did not spot the T with wing but there were a massive wingmast on one of the boats. Perhaps the wing broke before the movie was shot.
