Brake

After 7 years of being part of the F18 World Council and founder/president of the local Arg class, I decided today to resign both my positions after some tough discussions on the local class on where and when to race the qualifying events for 2012, half the fleet couldn´t attend on a short notice on proposed event,  so I said we needed to postpone it.
Another round on personal accusations (for a change…) and finally by a local federation rules the qualifying event wouldn´t have been valid due to a lack of 45 days of notice…just common sense, as always.

Add to that my exposure on the IF18CA, and I’m done with conflicts for a while, as some personal issues are more important that putting my head on the line every single day locally and globally on the IF18CA.

Lot of time dedicated to futeless discussions, not worth it right now. Will try to come back after clearing up some work and personal issues pending.

I will try to be in LA as it maybe the last F18 Worlds of ‘Humanity’…? mmmm we’ll see that on January 1st 2013(!?)

  1. Dear Martin,

VERY sorry to hear you are taking a break.
without putting any value in if you have been right or wrong ( im not up to speed with the subjects enough, nor do I know all the positions and angles)
I have however always admired you strength, dedication and what have appeard to be an honest and rightful way.
For me F18 sailing is the best I can find around. I also see things that can be tweaked for the better and live with a hope that the great success of f18 will continue and have a posetive evolution.

Hope to meet you IRL in LA.

    Best regards,
    Gustaf
