F18: Black Phantom 2012

The Phantom F18 will be launched officially on January 1st 2012. The feedback I have (beyond Udin), is that the boat is high quality built. We’ll see, if so we might have a new player on the F18 market.
Also I have info on 2 more builders to join the class soon.
Olivier Backes will be back with Arnaud Jarlegan, they will race it at the Europeans at Canaria. More info to come.

    currently all F18's have illegal sails! So don't be too quick to throw stones.

    Fat Boy!! It looks like a Wildcat that's been sent to McDonalds for a month.

    It's hard enough getting back onto my C2 after tipping it over. Phantom looks like you need a rope ladder over the side! Should be quick though. Good to see the class growing horizontally.

    Currently only the sails S.I. are illegal to have broken several points of rules, Double layer on the leech, two different materials in the body mainsail, reinforcements Jennaker of illegal materials. Other sailmakers (North,Performance,Goodall,Ullman) meet these basic rules.
