AC34: Mitch Booth out of China Team

From AmericasCup.com ——“China Team, the Chinese challenger for the 34th America’s Cup, has decided to part ways with its skipper Mitch Booth after the first AC World Series in Cascais, Portugal, last week.
China Team started the week on a strong note with manygood results, notably coming 3rd in the speed trial, and had some of the mostmagic moments of the event. China Team is in the process of finalizing therecruitment of another skipper to be announced shortly”

Well, not much to say until getting more info from Mitch, but if was solely a management decision, then this is not looking good for China Team in the long term…

None of the new teams had the potential of Mitch’s crew. Hope the Tornado gang can still be part of the Cup.

Great loss for the show with Booth out of the game, at least for now…

shame to see the Tornado gang go but i disagree that none of the new teams showed the same potential. I think Korea and Energy showed a preety good first showingdw

Yes of course. Already mentioned them, always trusted on Peyron, and Draper was the 'surprise' , although with an experienced X40 team.

But for ie none lead a race from start till the 4th leg where they drop the spi, among other several good moments.

And no high winds either, as soon as some breeze came in, several boats started to pitch downwind.

This WSeries with 20knots and we'll see some carnage X40 style.
