Photo: Alex Udin – Excellent photos of the new Phantom, showing the added volume , trademark of the F18s, although some other classes still need to figure out that key feature on overpowered racing cats like the F18 for themselves.
Right now the Phantom is literally and conceptually The Ultimate F18,
Oliver Backes and Arnaud Jarlegan are showing why they are the 2010 F18 World Champs.

Thanks Alex, great photos. Any chance of a couple of photos of the set up on the tramp etc any tricky bits that might be on the boat. Good luck with it.

Pretty snotty comment "although some other classes still need to figure out that key feature".
Name the classes and have a discussion. Perhaps you learn something.

Perhaps you are not reading the blog every day, as you missed the name and the discussions… no point on naming them at every post.

This blog itself is a learning process.

Is that is a good reason for underhandedly ridiculing the sailors and boatbuilders in a class?

Is that a good way to grow the sport and help promote a class?

I would suggest you talk with some of the other key players in that class just to verify whatever information you base your position on.

    For s*** go to sa.

Your statement that "I underhandedly ridiculing(?) the sailors and boatbuilders" needs no answer as any person involved in the industry and sailors alike of any class that follow this blog can tell you the contrary right away about this site.

The """Class""" I clearly talked about was the AC45!

Mike Drummond (you can read an interview with him here) will take no offense on an amateur blog he reads, with my comments about a THE top notch cat of this era, more when I ridiculize the AC45 like this: "the AC 45 Class is the epitome of catamaran racing to date"

    Phrase found here: https://catsailingnews.blogspot.com/2011/01/1st-ac45-launched.html

So please start reading backwards the website before any additional bad vibes, non sense , and non productive comments.

One of the mentions of the AC45 and discussions:

    Posterior post on discussions feedback:

You, are reading another website for sure, this is catsailingnews.

Your name will be welcome too.
    Cheers,
