X40s: Live webcast is needed…

Following a reader’s comment on the subject: With all the big names supporting the event, with thousands of fans waiting to watch the races live, and taking account of the high quality of the recorded teasers… is time for the Extreme Sailing Series organizers to offer Live web coverage of the circuit as the TP52 with the MedCup is doing (best Live coverage available)

First wish: Good HD webcam of entire starting area and line; live and with replay function afterwards for each of the starts. Same camera covers downwind mark roundings. Cam is elevated on big spectator yacht or tethered blimp?

Microphones on english-speaking crewmember for every team with requirement that they each speak for 30 seconds within a couple of minutes after the start, describing what they are happy or unhappy about. Optional 2nd. commentary in french, etc. : )

It is inadequate to have intermittent text comments like last weekend, and the next-day videos were 'just' colorful, not explanatory. Get the crews involved the job of live description of what is happening?

Even better; Allow curses and insults between the teams, done with creative language, only banning the most over-used obscenities.

A fine nautical tradition that would improve ratings!
