A-Cat German Nats 2023
Seven races held in 3 days at Fraglia Vela Malcesine for the 2023 A-Class German Nats. Conditions looking great for the last day. Kuba Suroviec (D3/Bryt) and Mischa Heemkskerk (F1x/Mischa) had a good battle for the crown.
The Polish rider (#2 past Worlds) prevailed in the end scoring two bullets to establish a 1pt final gap. Will be interesting to follow next Worlds at Toulon with Ravi racing this time as visitor vs Kuba, and hopefully Mischa and the Australians to attend.
Behind them Emmanuel Dodé finished 3rd overall. First German sailor and 4th overall for Bob Baier and 5th for Lamberto Cesari.
In the Classics fleets, Gran Maestre Scott Anderson still showing how its done, even to raising young guns like Moritz Weis D3 / Landenberger), the german kid keeps putting excellent results in the floating fleet and will be contender along Landy Jr in this discipline in the future.
Third overall in Classics for Lars Bunkenburg.
Top ten for both fleets, 60 boats gathering making yet another successful annual regatta at Garda.
