F18 Croatia, Challenge Trophy 2023: Dates & NOR

The spirit of the F18 lies on the builders and the sailors, specially those hard working like Draško Andrić, a croatian F18 sailor and organizer of the annual Murter Challenge in the beautiful local coasts. This regatta is slowly becoming a Classic and we encourage all to give a try.

Below info on the new venue and the name change by Drasko.

Murter Challenge is now “Challenge Trophy”

The campsite on Murter where I worked for 10 years was sold last summer and I lost the concession. F18 guys who are coming each year were pushing me to continue with the Challenge so I had no option but to make an even greater F18 event. For me, it was a great challenge as well, but I love going the extra mile, so I honestly believe this might be something special.

As stated in the NoR in article 15. “We wanted to make an even more special sailing event so we decided to leave Murter and move our venue south to another amazing island. The new sailing area gives us so much more opportunities and you will appreciate it we promise.
Your trip will be 9 kilometers longer, but you will arrive 5 minutes faster.
Krapanj is a magical island 350 meters apart from the mainland (Brodarica) and is not connected by a bridge. There is a small ferry that will transfer our boats on trailers from Brodarica to Krapanj (a 5-minute journey), but without the cars. There are no cars on Krapanj island!

I can tell you without reservation that the area where we relocated is even more promising and gives us better access to the open waters and more beautiful islands.

I would appreciate it if you can publish the news and a few words regarding the new location.

NoR and a few photos of Krapanj island are attached.”
