F16 Summerbreeze Regatta 2021: Robin & Sander Mineur 1st

Update: No breeze for Day 4. Results stay as reported below with Nacra Teams completing the entire podium with the Nacra F16.

Day 3 for the Formula 16, 2021 Summerbreeze Regatta. Plenty of breeze at Lake Como. Seeing the action and the crews combo, what a big waste not having the F16 as Olympic Youth boat.

Hi Martin,

Day 3 started with the highest winds we have seen so far, about 18 knots at the most. 2 more races in slightly less about 15 knots. Race 1 was challenging especially for the one up teams, but they managed it.

Overall there is a tight battle and the class proves once more that high level sailing can be perfectly combined with a massive fun event, even in covid_ times. Mixed, youth, great grandfather, solo, all female, father/son~daughter, they are all there managing all conditions.

It’s also great to see Nacra is getting involved more, being present with support (and of course I’m there as always since 2010 with support as well). The Bimare’s are a bit less present this year but in the top 5 there’s Nacra, Viper, Falcon all mixing it up and the Bim’s are not far behind. It was a challenging year to host an event but the outcome could not have been better. Tomorrow the last day.
