A-Cat Australian Nats 2021: Final Results
Photos by Bay Sailing Centre / Mark Rothfield (Promocean Media) — Today Steve Brewin was crowned 2021 Australian A-Class Nats Champ open division and Andrew Landenberger Sr won the Classics. Yet another local title for both historic top guns of the A-Class.
In the open div Adam Beattie put pressure in the last races scoring two bullets to secure a 3rd overall while Bundy maintained second behind Steve. On the Classics Landy swept the fleet with four more bullets and son Andy managed to defend second overall from the attack of Chris Munro.
Good to see they could complete the regatta and with plenty of races in spite of the paranoia and restrictions we are suffering all over the place.
F18 Australian Nats wont be held as reported, a pity as we wanted to see Bundy, Brewin fighting along Burvill & Max and others for the title. Australian A-Class and F18 fleets are looking super solid and we hope the 2022 F18 Worlds can be held in Perth.
We also would like to see Landy coming back to the F18, his cronic bad knee is not bothering much in the A-Cat floating mode, thus we are confident he can race F18 without an issue. We will have to put pressure on him once more, method served with Bundy for his A-Cats & F18 comebacks…
