2020 Worlds to be held in Australia are coming in February find below the list of confirmed Countries for Tokyo to participate in the Nacra 17 Class provided by Drew Malcolm / Nacra 17 Class Association. Read his article for a complete insight of the qualification process.

At the 2019 Worlds held in New Zealand 5 countries got their tickets for next Olympics: Spain, France, Germany , USA* & Norway. As the US also got the qualification berth winning 2019 Pan Am Games, they opened the chance for Puerto Rico to represent North America. Same for Uruguay with USA , Argentina & Brazil already in, they were the next on the list (due to their Pan Ams results) to obtain the South American spot.

Although majority of Flags are defined, the sailors who will represent them are not yet confirmed in many cases. Latest news is France selected Delapierre & Audinet over Besson-Riou, a bold move by the French Federation considering Biily & Marie were getting in the zone winning a couple or races and improving fast.

Delapierre & Audinet won a WC series in 2019 and finished ahead their countrymen at past Worlds.

Spain also needs to define along Australia, Italy, GBR and others.

With the European, Oceania, African, & Asian berth still at stake, Greece has a chance to enter, it will be tough for Danny Paschalidis on the short time on board the N17, but the possibility is still there. Sweden, Russia & Finland will also aim for the European ticket.
