The 2019 French championship interseries multihull competition took place past week  at Marseille (south of France) from November 1st until November 3rd 2019.

33 catamarans from different classes were present: 9 Class A, 8 F16/Viper, 8 F18 & 5 Nacra 15.

On the first racing day, weather conditions were inconsistent with a first race held in 9-10 knots and a second one in 5-6 knots. First day races were won on “real timing” by Raphael Miniglier et Mathis Bourgnon sailing a Nacra F18 class. However, the duo Emmanuel Le Chapelier and Eric Le bouedec finished first on “corrected time”.

On Saturday morning races were delayed because it was not windy enough. Eventually 2 races were sailed at 9-12 knots of wind.

Emmanuel/Eric won largely ahead of the 32 competitors on “real time” this second day!

On Sunday, competition started really early in the morning because difficult weather conditions were forecasted at noon, especially strong winds and competitors had to sail before it would be to dangerous for them and the material. However, the race committee decided to cancel the race  in the end, when suddenly the wind blew up from 20-25 knots to 50 knots.
