TF35 First Flights: TF35 vs D35 in 6 knots footage

Photo & Video courtesy of TF35 . Footage from today August 22. TF35 trials continue, here a sail by a D35 we can have a preview of the performance the new platform can develop. A sneak preview but this looks “rather” good as the TF35 was thought and planned to replace the D35 fleet. Performing in light winds is one of its main targets.

So far so good.

Ernesto Bertarelli at the helm. We thought he was not going to get much fun coming from the lively GC32, but if the TF35 is foiling in that wind range, well he and responsibles of the design (Kramers, DuBois, Menec , May, Redondo / D3 Applied Technologies team ) / built are discovering new grounds for additional fun where floating mode was the norm in the past for the all mighty D35.

Upwind match ups and more tuning pending. More info to come direct from the testings venue.
