F18 Stockholm Archipelago Raid 2019: Day 2

By Lars Lidners – Short report after 2 days:
If the first day was close racing with 4 boats within 4 points, the 2nd was no different. In the morning the wind gusts were well over 20 knots during the down wind start. The first hour was down wind and half wind in high speeds and quite demanding conditions. Some boats had to retire from the race. 20 teams out of originally 27 made it all the way to the finish line. 
The second leg was only down wind, party through narrow straights with about 60 gybes or more.

After 2 days of racing there is only 3 points separation the 4 first boats. The Norweigan leaders from day 1 Sandberg/Strömquist were passed by 2 points by Karlsson/Nordblom (on 115 points). On the same score (112 points) are Demesmaeker/Thery and Paschalidis/Pirinolli. Right behind are 2 3 more contenders for the top position.  See full results
