F18 Worlds 2019 @Costa Brava: Day 4

All Images by Marc Gonzalez Alomá, not many of the top ten. Complete gallery later in CSN Fb. – Fourth Day of racing at La Ballena Alegre Camping located in Costa Brava, Spain. Two races were completed and Bundock-Nicholas went for the lead hunt. Two bullets for the Australians allowed them to grab the first overall without the second discard to enter the scene, as the third race of the day was cancelled due to storms. The second discard will enter tomorrow when one more race is completed (6 of the Final series), 3 more are scheduled and the race is still open with the 2018 World Champs Paschalidis & Trigonis who had some jib / self tack issues. The difference is 3pts , leaders have a 11th and Greeks a 9th as worst results to put in play tomorrow.

Not many chances for both crews, at least on the first start tomorrow, than go for winning the remaining races.

The Argentines crews are holding but the ‘Australian Tornado Task Force’ has taken the course by storm today today with Colby-Dubbelaar, Booth-Booth and Burvill-Puttman getting low scores behind countrymen Bundock-Conor searching to discard some high pts when reaching 6 Final races tomorrow. Aussies Gaving Parker & Dan Brown also kept top ten status in 7th overall.

Third place still for Argentines Cruz Gonzalez Smith & Mariano Heuser, a 7th & 10th today were good enough to defend their podium place. Tomorrow they will need to continue in good shape as done the whole week. Great performance again for the Arg amateur teams, as Volker-Mehl continue 4th overal and Krevisky-Benitez 6th , with the due note above on the Australian attack looking to climb in the top ten.
