Second round of the Formula 18 Catamaran Italy racing season. Meeting place for the competitors this time is Baia di Anzio, a place known to all sailors for the optimal sea & weather conditions. First real spring weekend and the expected weather forecast.

Saturday in the water around 12.30, small difficulties for the rotation of the wind towards the forecast of the mistral. Three tests for the positioning of the start and then mistral lying on the 13 knots with gusts of 15. Race course well organized, on 40 minutes for three laps and fleet basically racing together, from start to finish. Challenging matches like this is the game for the four races of the day. Sunday the boats on the water early, leaving at 12.00. Start around 13.00 to the fifth race. Scirocco (SE) wind constant between 8 and 10 knots, with a slight “chop”. Light wind conditions that revolutionized the ranking of the previous day.

The romans Villani-Santucci take home the second National Formula 18 of 2019 with a first of the day a 2 and a 3. Second place for the tuscan Radman-Cioni and podium also for the Sanzone-Ruggeri locals. Fourth place for Panella-Posa and one closed the podium in Formula 18 Monti-Bocchini formula.Organization at ground level of the highest level, with buffè at the end of the tests with typical local products and social dinner at the Club. Race Committee always careful and ready that has taken full advantage of the spring health conditions to make the crews enjoy themselves to the maximum, with photographer (#photooneshot instangram tag) on a rib for plenty of shots.
