A-Class, Sopot Cat Cup 2018: Michal Korneszczuk 1st

Michal Korneszczuk, Sopot Cat Cup 2018: “We had 2 good days of racing this past weekend (16-17/06) with variable winds conditions that put test to sailors  different skills.  Regatta has a 18 A-Cat strong fleet. Saturday we had light winds 5-6kn,   only in the last race last Downwind Jacek Noetzel managed to do any foiling. Anyhow the winner of the day was Marek Zebrowski who scored 3 bullets with his C foil DNA (Fiberfam mast/NS DS1 sail). Marek had good beats and was always fastest downwind.

Sunday kicked off with 9knts of breeze , building to 12kn throughout the day. Though being stronger the wind was patchy and few competitors got stuck in wind holes on various occasions.
This day was ruled by Jacek Noetzel who was definitely fastest downwind and was showing off with nice upwind foiling. He scored 3 bullets on that day.

However I managed  to win the regatta on scoring the most even results on both days.

On the same regatta we saw a nice fleet of HC16s as well OPEN fleet with mix of N17 (Tymo and Kuba), N15 and F18s.
