A-Class Polish Nats 2017 @Sopot: Manuel Calavia 1st

All images Gordon Upton , full gallery at IACA fb.  Manolo Calavia won the 2017 Polish Nats after 5 races. Good to see him back at a Worlds venue. In 2015 at Punta Ala he was third behind Ashby & Mischa, but with equipment handicap, this year I can assure you, he will be not handicapped at all in that regard. Two bullets today for Manolo held in calm to good light foiling mode.
Still tricky on wind shifts and Gordon reports next week is going to be a challenging Worlds for the top guys on the course & wind conditions.

Mischa looking worried , but Worlds have not started yet. Still he will be competing against a powerful D3 squad with his World Champ F1.

On designs, a high note is Tymoteusz Cierzan, who yesterday beat all the latest devels with his old school Flyer . Today with little more wind he scored good places : 16 & 8th for a 11th overall.
So top ten you have 9 D3s, Mischa F1 and in 11th place overal a Flyer. 12th Daniel Caviezel on the G7.
