F18 @Kiel Week 2017: Paschalidis & Trigonis 1st

All images Kiel Week 2017 Press – Multiple Tornado World Champs & former Olympics sailors Danny Paschalidis & Trigonis attended to Kiel Week 2017 to race the Exploder Scorpion F18 they received few days ago. Their goal is to prepare the boat equipped with 1D sails from Marton Balazs for the 2017 F18 Denmark Worlds in July.

Last month at the Spanish Catamaran Cup Jordi Booth won also with an Exploder F18 / 1D sails with all bullets.
So good to see the Scorpion been sailed in advanced with development from the riders and 1D loft.

The boat seems to respond well in every conditions as I reported from the Arg local experience, Mischa’s week at 2015 Worlds and Brewin solo event in Australia.
The F18 is a super even Formula Class, we’ll never get tired of repeating it, but it’s always interesting to see the real or maximum potential a new platform can deliver.
And more than happy to see those lines being sailed by experienced sailors World Wide along some decent feedback.  Greeks , Booths,  Mischa & Brewin baots were built & delivered by  Jakub Kopylowicz / Exploder.

At Kiel Danny & Trigonis had  waves, chop, mid range and light winds, they scored 6 bullets , two 3ds & a 2nd. Feedback is they like the boat, and will continue working on the new mast fit with Balazs.
Second place for Magnus Dahl Nicolaisen & Jesper Vogelius, 3rd overall for Finn Heegk & Killian Feindt tied in pts vs 2014 German champs Robert Schutz & Rea Kuhl who were relegated to 4th on the bullets scored by Heegk-Feindt.

F18 Worlds 2017 will be held 8th July to 15th July @Vallensbæk Sailing Club, Denmark
