The French are the best Multihull sailors out there, being Olympic level with Billy & Marie, or Ocean Crossing ‘aliens’ like Peyron, Joyon, Coville or Francois Gabart, who is in currently in NY waiting for a weather window to attempt to break Joyon’s North Atlantic record. These guys are simply nuts and living some experiences very few have endure.
Solo ocean crossing on a giant foiling Trimaran (check foils shots) is a glorious and challenging feat comparable to any past ancient navigation. Beyond current gps & tech in the end is Gabart , his Tri and the mighty Atlantic..

Gabart’s waiting period to cross the Atlantic seems to be over now:

While the end of the standby period was approaching (July 2), a weather window presented itself early in the week and was confirmed on Wednesday.
