A-Cats, French Nats: Billy Besson & the Askell

Image: Stephanie Billarant. French A-Cat sailor Thibault Laudren made a Q&A with Billy Besson at La Baule. Besson raced the French designed & built Askell, a boat we featured in CSN last year.  Great to see another design in the fleet and quite an achievement for the Le Pluart brothers to put their new project on the limelight in such a short time. As developers and builders in a development class, they left discussions apart and went full forward just like the French hi speed TGV  train,  and they delivered big time. 

Interesting concepts from Billy on the A as good training platform for the Nacra 17, fact that I’ve been pointing out to local sailors for a while.
