Some excellent pics taken by Pro Photographer, Gabriel Palmioli. These are a selection of each boat CDs, I will post more of other boats and the fleet later.
Great championship with some boats missing and perfect conditions for the 3 days.
Cruz Smith and Mariano Heuser riding a Nacra Infusion were the best, dropped mast included that forced them to discard 2 of the last 3 races, but they managed to get back on time for the last race! and grab the title as reported last week.
The champs were followed in the water by Sergio Mehl and Nicolas Aragones with a C2 and a Wildcat!?… they broke C2 spinpole before the last day 1st race and changed to his Wildcat, won 2 of the final races and was 2nd the third for an overall 2nd place on the water, but was disqualified after, for not notifying the race comittee on time about the change.
Esteban Blando and Julio Saubidet with an Infusion were third on the water with an excellent performance and lots of hours less than the top guys on an F18 for Esteban (T sailor) and also not much training with his highly experienced crew, although Julio always seems to tune quite fast, as they didn´t sail together that often and they were flying in the course.
After the disqualification of Sergio Mehl for using two different boats, constant podium visitors, Juan Faustín and Lucas Smith, reached 3rd overall riding an Infusion with a SI spi.
And then you have Opti World and Vice Champ, Agustín Krevisky that needs to get his lazyness with the boat tuning soon, also Ian that couldn´t race with his usual crew when they were peaking in the previous champs, both riding Caps.
The fleet is getting quite competitive, and no one has a secured place any more…

I need a fixed crew asap, and with all this Mixed crew Olympic inertia I think I’ll start sailing with my wife again, we learned together to sail cats in Mexico with the local H16 fleet in 2002.
