Mar del Plata Sailing Week 2022: Day 1 & 2 by Matías Capizzano
Top annual regatta in Arg. Mar del Plata is the home of the famous Opti shots surfing large waves, of course photos taken by the Dr himself, Matías Capizzano. Above some shots of the first two days. Previous weeks was Optis turn. One of my kids went for the first time, and had a great time.
Yesterday I took Tomy & Marcos to sail the RC16, training them to sail the Scorpion soon (need some parts to final assembly mine), and hopefully in the future they might be sailing F18 in Mar del Plata too, along some surf sessions for sure.
In the F18 Class 8 boats racing, with Gonzalez Smith-Heuser and Krevisky-Benitez both with Scorpion/1D leading the pack after two days, 5 knots on Tuesday and around offshore 20s yesterday.
