Round Texel 2025 Edition Results

This Saturday the biggest beachcat regatta in the World took place at Texel Island in the Netherlands. Light winds from the start progressing to a good breeze allowed the Nacra F20s to get ahead the F18s.

Blue Ribbon went for Xander Pols & Frank de Waard on board a Nacra F20 FCS. Their time 4hs:00:48, ten minutes ahead the first F18, Gavin Colby & Kai Colman.
The Aussies stamped 4hs:10:04 on the results sheet on their rig revamped Nacra Evo F18. This team is having an extensive European pre season for coming Worlds in NED in July. Previous regattas were 2025 Eurocat & French Nats.

Colby repeating a Texel win, and along with Kai they are on a mission for 2025 Worlds, two near misses in 2022 & 2019 are enough.

Another Aussie team, Beau White & Emma Rankin and locals Hans & Marius Van Dam (both Akurra) were a tied third finishing both exact 4hs:15m:23s , what a finish for those two after four hours of long distance racing.

Current World Champ, Argie Pablo Volker sailing with Sander de Boer finished in 7th overall and 6th F18 on an Akurra. Pablo also having an excellent pre season trainings in Europe. Past week was a regatta with the Sachs in Germany.

The Texel ratings made for Hobie 14s to be able to win the overall corrected, happened in the, this year Thorin Zeilmaker took 5hs:37:28 real time and 4:13:44 corrected for a second overall.
