Nacra 17 Hyeres 2025: GOLD for Great Britain after a Fightback

1st – John Gimson & Anna Burnett (GBR) – 49 points
2nd – Gianluigi Ugolini & Maria Giubilei (ITA) – 52
3rd – Willemijn Offerman & Scipio Houtman (NED) – 60

Britain’s John Gimson & Anna Burnett secured their second Sailing Grand Slam win of the month after a gritty comeback in the Medal Race. Starting with a seven-point lead, they struggled off the line and had to claw their way back from seventh to third to lock in the overall title.

John Gimson (GBR): “It was a really hard race. Two boats rolled us off the line and we had to fight back. These boats are so fast and fun to race, it’s just pure adrenaline.”

The British pair now shift focus to the Nacra 17 European Championship in June, followed by the World Championship in October.
