Expanding width in such way with outward foils its a great contradiction for monohulls core concept, slowly progressing towards a Multi ‘wannabe’… In the future they will end adding a second hull??…
Still, what a beast Charal IMOCA60 is. Full driving power while offshore racing, demonstrating a great contrast vs the restricted and delicate AC75 in terms of the wind range they would be able to race, specially in the lower end. An IMOCA like solution would solve the 5kntos unexpected tumbledowns for instance.
