Tom Slingsby affirmed some months ago on a Sail GP report that he was the #1 Sailor in the World. After the first day at Malcesine it seems the Aussie is focused to prove that statement.

Only Buurling & Tuke missing from the top World sailors: Slingsby, Bruni, Outteridge, Jensen, Goodison all in the top after 3 Qualifying races along the might Ruggero Tita, the guy can sail 49er, Foiling Cat or Moth at top level without an issue, a la Burling or Outteridge.

We are not Moth equipment experts so only news for us is the debut of the Exploder built Moth, designed by Gonzalo Redondo and a talented team behind. The hull looks like a mini American Magic, we’ve been aware of the project for a while and we are happy to see Jakub Kopylowicz entering a new performance realm.

Tom Johnson had a good progression today with 35,10 & 7, and report by the Argies in Garda are pretty good from past days already. Much left, but a nice debut for brand new Moth racing its first regatta.
