A-Class Italian Nats 2014 @Punta Ala: Sascha Wallmer 1st

All Images Serena Scary / Photo Studio 17. Sascha Wallmer returned to the big leagues and took the Italians Nats 2014 at Punta Ala with the new Scheurer G7. As I wrote in the IACA report , Sandro told me that Sacha was sailing fast on the new Schuerer and he showed it in this event.
Wallmer overtook Bob Baier who was leading yesterday after 6 races, but Sacha scored 3 bullets today with some foiling moments as seen in pics above. Bob was riding an Exploder at Bordeaux, need to confirm his boat for this regatta.

The Scheurer G7 was the first to feature asymmetric section for the J boards, and now the Caviezels were developing their own rudders/winglets. More on that on an incoming interview.

Luca Maffessoli, Exploder, completed an perfect Italian season, crowning the year with the Italian title. The Italian Assoc put together a 56 boat event, looking forward for next 2015 Worlds to be held in this same location, Punta Ala.
