A-Class: Exploring the Exploder
Landy has received his Exploder back at Down Under, (that country landscape looks too familiar for us Argies) and he went directly to do some dagger winglet tests. Bimare did something similar but with an off-center alignment, both solutions though are currently illegal in the A Class , as the dagger must be inserted from the top/deck.
Andrew was the first to use rudder winglets on a racing A, now standard in the Class.
The Dnas are flying downwind with the legal J boards & rudder winglets in +15knots of wind, not much in this session but some serious lift present… going from that point to achieve a stable legal solution should be a long road I guess. Whichever the case, we sail for fun too. More pics at CSN FB
