Falcon F18: Images from Long Beach

Great job done by Matt McDonald and the  Falcon Marine crew. We like the Falcon, easy to sail and responsive. We’ve matched speed and it is really fast on the breeze out of the box. In the future we will see more of them racing for sure. Welcome to the Formula 18.

  1. Nothing to do with the boat Martin, it's all you.

    Good luck at the Worlds!

    Cheers

  2. I think it looks à bit like a C2 below the water line, maybe a bit glater in the front. But that's only from looking at your pictures. Martin can you please describe the differences ???

    Hi Gustav

Is more like Infusion style on its volume. Will try to take more pics this week on the hull shape.

Good looking boat. Can you show some pics of the tramp layout..

What I find funny is that there are a lot more builders of F18s and yet still the prices keep going up and up.. For a class that was supposed to keep the prices down it has failed.

  5. Disagree on the price comment. F18s are cheap to buy (compared to other boats), the sails are long lasting and even if the class develops you regularly see old designs in the top. Also they have a very high second hand price so when you sell you get a lot back.
My C2 is probably the cheapes race boat I have ever campaigned with and I'm soon in for a new one.

And now we haven't even discussed fun per dollar or fun per kn…………… For my sailing , going multi and F18, is the best thing ever.
