A-Cat North Americans 2025

Past week the 2025 A-Cat North Americans were held at Alamitos Bay Yach Club in San Diego. Event had a rather small fleet as the East coast has the large fleet numbers but nevertheless having Steve Brewin , Ravi Parent and Jay Glaser put some prestige to the regatta.

Former A-Class World Champs Stevie & Ravi took full advantage of the racing opportunity matching their speed in good mixed wind conditions. Brewin told us it was a great sailing week and grabbed key data towards 2025 Worlds in New Zealand coming later this year.

One of our Argie mates was present, and told us how Brewin also spread much knowledge and tips for all to improve. Great to have such top guys in any fleet. His own built sails are top notch, the best A-Cat DS I’ve sail till now I bought directly to him. Get yours via [email protected]

Ravi sails Jay Glaser’s design, another World Champ proven DS. Good to see Jay racing As. He has retired from sailmaking now but you can get his legacy talent via Marchall sailmakers

On the water it was 4 bullets for Ravi and 3 for Brewin, which defined the title by 1pt. All top A-Cat riders (except Mischa) are sailing Exploder D3 platforms, so it has become almost OD racing at the top with sails being the special ingredient, current World Champ uses Bryt Sails from Poland.
