Eurocat 2025 Day 4

Great edition for the Classic Eurocat regatta hosted every year since 1986 by the Yacht Club Carnac located at the Quiberon Bay, Morbihan Dep, Britanny, France. An area that breaths Sailing, from dinghies to Maxis stationed or departing from La Trinité Sur Mer (saw a couple of Maxis there back in 2014).

More wind today for the several Catamaran classes participating. Gavin Colby reports on Sunday’s conditions:

“16-22 knots today. Freaking cold with three races. Awesome fun racing. We are really just learning the new boat so getting the optimal trim, but last race we were very comfortable, with good settings. Looking for more breeze to dial in remaining details. But already we did pretty well winning the Raid in the light air yesterday”

In the F18 Class, Ravi Parent & Lena Weisskichel scored a solid win with 6 bullets out of 9 races, Colby & Kai Colman behind them in second, (both teams sailing Nacra Evo) and third overall for Victorien Erussard &Frederic Moreau (Goodall Akurra)

Nacra Team putting the hours and investing with their top riders present at this Eurocat editon. Hopefully a sign for attracting more sailors next year to bring back the big fleet numbers at Carnac.
Nacra Teams are candidates for coming 2025 F18 Worlds at NED.

Yacht Cbub Carnac ‘Eurocat’ is precisely the European Catamaran Racing Fest! with the Kids charging hard Nacra 15s, Hobie 16s. SL16s, plus Darts, Tornados, F16s which are also present at Carnac each year. Check more pics at Eurocat photo links here

Manu & Jean Boulogne might be quite comfortable with the new Cirrus R3 / AIR Sails, 3 pts only of the podium for courses racing and a 3rd in the Raid yesterday.
