F18 Eurocat @YC Carnac 2025: Day 1

37th Eurocat

Day 1 of racing at Yacht Club Carnac. Since 1986, the Eurocat its one of the most traditional Mulihull regattas in Europe.
Getting a renewed drive this year with some top notch teams attending. Nacra sent Ravi Parent and Colby-Colman to prepare an assault for the 2025 Worlds in NED.

Two races held today, Parent-Weiskichel scored a pair of bullets and Colby-Colman 2nd in both. These team sailing the Nacra Evo.

Colby reports: “Light wind today. Started the Nacra 15 first. Same course. They were half way up first work when the breeze shifted 90’ and increased to 20 knots. Our start and their race abandoned. Next start in 12 knots. Varied betwween 6 -12 knots. Patchy shifty conditions. Flat water 15’c. Close racing with us.”

Manu & Jean Boulogne with the recently launched Cirrus R3 showing right away this version will put the Cirrus teams back on track. The R3 is equipped with Manu’s AIR Sails, looking smooth, check red spi above.
