Notice of Race
Rules: The Hemisphere Championship F-18 will be governed by the rules as defined in the Racing Rules of Sailing 2013-2016 (RRS).

Sunday 21/12/14 10.00 hrs Races
Price giving awards
The scheduled races are 16. The RC could complete up to 5 races per day.
Decision to Race: The responsibility for a boat’s decision
to participate in a race or to continue racing is hers alone. Fundamental Rule 4.
Rule RRS 44.1 is amended substituting the two turns for one turn.

VENUE: Yacht Club Argentino, Dársena Norte. Beunos Aires, Argentina.
ADVERTISING: It will be according to the Class Rules and the Regulation 20 ISAF.
CLOSED PARK:
The boats must remain on the seat of the championship since the end of the first day of the scheduled races until the end of the protests of the last day of racing.

They will have a specific area on the land for the storage of the boat during the development of the championship.

RACE AREA AND COURSES:
Race area: Dársena Norte;
Course: Windward – Leeward 4 legs.

VALIDITY AND SCORE:
The Hemisphere Championship will be valid with at least 5 completed races.
When from 5 to 9 races have been completed, a boat’s series score will be the total of her race scores excluding her worst score. When 10 or more races have been completed, a boat’s series score will be the total of her race scores excluding her two worst scores.

8. REGISTRATION:
8.1. Will be received via web until 17.00 hrs on December 15th.
Required fee is $ 950. ARG
Will be required to enable a class a minimum of 5 registered boats

Those helmsmen under 18 not listed in the list of Limited Responsibility published by the Argentina Federation of Yachting on its website, must present at the time of registration, the appropriate form, signed by parent or guardian and certified by Public Notary. This form will be posted on the FAY website (www.fay.org) and the Yacht Club Argentino with the information of this Championship (www.yca.org.ar).

DISCLAIMER AND LIABILITY:
The responsibility for a boat’s decision to participate in a race or to continue racing is hers alone. Fundamental Rule 4.

All participants declare that they compete voluntarily and under their own exclusive risk, and that they are completely aware that the activity may be dangerous, and that they liberate of all responsibility, direct or indirect and to the extent permitted by law, organizers, co-organizers, authorities, officials and judges and/or their agents or employees and/or providers of services, be they onerous or gratuitous, for any damages, costs, injury and/or loss of life and/or damages to property that they may suffer and that they renounce to any action, law suit or claim before the courts of ordinary Justice, being this the reason that they submit to arbitration. This limitation to responsibility includes happenings occurring before, during or between races and connected activities, including attention and transportation during a medical emergency.

ARBITRATION:
The final decisions and actions taken by the organizers, related to any controversy, of monetary value or not – that exceeds the field of decisions established in the ISAF Racing Rules of Sailing – but that spring directly or indirectly from the competition or from happenings or actions related thereto, which may involve competitors, other participants, the Organizing Authority with each other, jointly or severally, shall not be subject to actions before the Law Courts, be they National, Provincial or Municipal. They may only be presented by any of the involved parties before the Sports Law Arbitration Tribunal (Tribunal Arbitral de Derecho Deportivo), which will establish the rules of procedure, and whose decisions will be obligatory and final and shall not be subject to appeal.

11. SAILING INSTRUCTIONS:
The sailing instructions will be available on the web on December 15th at 12 hrs.

12. TIME LIMITS AND WIND:
Limit time of each race will be 20 minutes for the first mark and 45 minutes for the target time.
The first arrived yacht enables others for 10 minutes. This changes RRS Rule 35.
No race will start with less than 5 knots or more than 25 knots.

13. AWARDS: Prizes will be given by the end of the last race of the championship.
