Beachcat Cruising: Beto Pandiani’s Trips & 2012 project

Ushuaia-Antartic /  Miami – Ilha Bela  /  Chile – Australia /  Isla Morada – NYNY – Greenland
/ Puerto Montt – Rio via Cape Horn

Course Racing is quite challenging and we need to train hard to be the best. But beachcat Cruising Pandiani’s way is only for hardcore sailors. Our second Racecat boat in 2006 was an F18 Platform transformed in a Cruiser with his feedback through Felipe Tomassi who travel with him from Puerto Montt Chile to Rio through Cape Horn, the platform was: RCF18 Hulls + 2,90mts wide beams , 8mts Mast, Wings.
The RC F18 hulls are just perfect for this modification on its high volume.

(yes, Arg wine at a remote beach is key ingredient down here)

But back to Beto. He is already a legend, those trips are beyond our imagination for us common sailors. The experience and sights and speed achieved on boths poles are for sure unique in the sailing world.

He is planning a new trip for 2012, Cape Town-Rio. I will make an interview with him soon.
