Nacra 17s @Marseille 2018: Day 3

Photo: Pedro Martinez / Sailing Energy / World Sailing. No racing yesterday, but the fleet could complete 4 today. Tita & Banti extended their usual lead winning the four races, establishing a gap of 13 pts vs Gimson & Burnet. Third place overall for Bissaro-Frascari, the Italian crew continues to improve in each event, Vittorio is sailing now with Maelle Frascari, he parted ways with Silvia Sicouri who will be become a new Mom.

First day Lange & Carranza had a DNF & DNS, it was due to a top deck daggercase insert breaking while racing. The insert which retains and setups daggerboard rake came out loose, forcing the Arg crew to abandon the race and miss the next one.

High complains from Ceci Carranza on her Instagram on the boat reliability and the OD one builder mode, but that is nothing new for Nacra 17 sailors, and we have spoke plenty on the matter and how Nacra needs to put their customer service up to the Olympic level, it is the double sword edge of becoming an Olympic Class, you will have all the sales secured at any price but you will need to improve and mazimize your service to the sailors in every way.
Then, breakages will be always a part of the job, being OD one builder or many.

On Lange-Carranza comments,  just seems to be affecting more to  now thus they went pretty mad and vocal on the matter.
