A-Cat, Easter Cup 2018 @Campione Univela: Michal Korneszczuk 1st

All images Anna Korneszczuk, more at Campione Univela fb. –  Official racing debut of the new DNA F1 “X”. Light conditions at Garda for the first day, only one race completed , and 5-12knots mixed conditions for remaining races, as reported by the Dutch A-Class Assoc.

Michal Korneszczuk (D3/North DS) won over a fleet of DNA versions. Roeland Wentholt (F1/Mischa DS) finished second , followe by Rutger Krijger (DNA 15/Mischa DS) and fourth overall for
Mischa Heemskerk (F1 x / Mischa DS)
Interesting to see how Roeland & Rutger also sailed with Mischa’s pinhead DS, so the 3 DNA versions were using the same DS cut, which is a good reference on platforms/foils differences.

Caroline Van Beelen & Katrin Brunner (F1/Mischa DS) had an excellent regatta scoring bullets & top five results for an 5th overall & 7th respectively. Again the beauty of the Open format.

Not much to analyze for this first F1 x regatta, but the previous F1 versions doing a bit better on those conditions, Mischa will surely tune up the platform further, but I think is good news for the current DNA F1 & previous versions owners. Not even Mischa can be granted an event only on brand new equipment.
