The Australian Exploder camp continue to test latest D3 devels from Jakub & Gonzalo Redondo.
As reported by Bob Griffits on the A-Cat.org web, Brewin has the latest D3 case position plus casette castings to fit a more refined blade / T winglets, which along his skills and setups are allowing him to "steady foil upwind" during the practice races.
Till now the upwind foiling mode vmg has not payed as seen in Medemblik and also I can confirm first hand on the tests we've done here.
If Brewin is actually flying to windward during the event and winds allows for such mode we will see another milestone for the A-Class flight development. The championship will start today, so better wait till the end of the week to confirm when we'll have plenty of direct feedback, but I do hope the Australian top guns on the D3 can come up with the technique and the provided tools to achieve such feat, looking forward to the World at Sopot this year where Exploder will put everything they have to aim once again for a deserved title on the great work done for the Class.

Landy seems to be testing a new rig also. Read full of the practice day report by Bob Griffits www.a-cat.org/?q=node/916
Day 1 report still to come. No pics available yet. But good to see three different winners: Bundy, Brewin & Collet.
