Check full gallery along shots from practice race at facebook.com/f16worlds2016/ — 45 boats lineup for the 2016 F16 Worlds being held at Knokke Heist, Belguim. Event hosted by the Royal Belgian Sailing Club, venue for the 2009 Worlds. Locals Henri Demesmaeker (former F16 World Champ with Jeroen van Leeuwen) and Alec Bagué (Viper) lead after 3 races ahead of Emmanuel Le Chapelier & Eric Le Bouedec (Bimare).  Third place for Morgan Good & Morgan Wirtz (Viper).

Good to see the Bimare F16 being competitive, of course sailed by two talented and experienced F16 sailors like Emmanuel & Eirc. 4th place is also for a Bimare. Other brands participating are Nacra F16 and Mattia.  With Nacra relegating their F16 to oblivion after going for the Nacra 15 as Youth option.

Goodall Design grabbed past week F18 Europeans with Henry’s father Patrick on a C2, so the team will target to take second event in a row for the Australian brand.

Past 2014 Worlds at were won by Adrian Fawcett & Jessie Dobbie sailing a Falcon : catsailingnews.com/2014/07/f16-worlds-newport-adrian-fawcett.html
