F18 Croatia, 2nd Murter Challenge, May 20-22, 2016

The Croatian F18 fleet have a priveleged sailing area and they are focusing in expanding the local fleet. Also I think should pay them a visit for an incoming Worlds in the future.

NOTICE OF RACE “2nd MURTER CHALLENGE 2016”

1. ORGANIZER
Organizer of the catamaran regatta ‘2nd Murter Challenge 2016 “are DSR Adria Sport and
YC “Dobro More”.
2. PLACE
Jezera Village camp, Bay Lovišća, Murter, Croatia. Sailing area is in the Murter archipelago.
3. DATE
20th of May – 22nd of May 2016. The competition will take place on 21. 05. and 22. 05. 2016.
4. RULES
The regatta will be governed by the ISAF rules 2013 – 2016 ie. The rules of racing (Racing
Rules) and the sailing instructions.
5. PARTICIPATION
The regatta is open to all catamarans not bigger than 21 feet with a maximum of 2 crew
members. All crew members of vessels reported to be verified in the national sailing
federation.
6. REGISTRATION
Registration will start at Monday, 09/05/2016. on the e-mail address DSR Adria Sport
[email protected] and the Facebook page DSR ADRIA SPORT.
7. FEES
Entry fee is 15 EUR per competitor and can be paid on the arrival, or by bank transfer to the

DSR Adria Sport’s account number (IBAN) HR1823400091110443101.
8. ADVERTISING
Any advertisement that does not offend religious, racial or moral beliefs are allowed in
accordance with the regulations of ISAF.
9. SCHEDULE

09:00 – skippers meeting
09:30 – first possible start
17:00 – the latest possible start of the day
18:30 – free dinner for the competitors in the camp restaurant, sailors party

15:00 – the latest possible start
16:00 – lunch for competitors
17:00 – prize giving ceremony
10. HANDICAP INDEX
All sailors will be competing together. Class F18 will be scored separately. Upon completion
of the registration at the first skippers meeting, RC will decide whether any other class should
be scored separately.
Each skipper who participate in the class F18 must present a valid F18 class measurement.
Each skipper in the application must specify the class of racing, the manufacturer and type of
catamaran, number of crew, and handicap.
Scoring is made by ISAF handicap system for small catamarans, published in February 2016
or later: https://www.schrs.com/ratings.php
Rankings are calculated according to the corrected time. If the boat is not in its original
condition (hulls, sails, mast, rudder, etc.) or is self made must be accompanied by a certificate
of conformity class.
11. SAILING INSTRUCTIONS
Sailing instructions will be available at the first skippers meeting.
12. COURSE
Racing area will be marked on the map. Possible courses are round robins and navigation of
different course shapes.
13. SCORING
RC planed to held 2 navigation and 6 round robin, depending of the sea conditions. After
completion of 4 (four) races one will reject the worst result, and after the completion of eight
(8) another. If the contestants share the same number of points, the number of better places
will count, and if it will be tie final race will count. There is no maximum number of the daily
races. The race is valid if 3 races will be held.
14. ACCOMMODATION OF THE BOATS
The area for the catamaran will be marked at the marina in the Lovišća bay, near the dinghy
slip.
15. ACCOMMODATION FOR THE COMPETITORS
The organizer has provided accommodation at promotional prices for all participants in the
camp and the apartment complex “Jezera Village”. Prices: Apartment for 2 person is approx.
26 Eur/night (13 Eur/night/person) apartment for 4 person is approx. 33 Eur/night. Dinner and
lunch during competition are free of charge.

16. MEDIA RIGHTS
The organizer has the right to use photos, video and sound recordings of competitors and
other participants in the competition during and after the event in the media for their own
publicity or other activities without restrictions.
17. PRIZES
Prizes are provided for first, second and third place in the class.
18. DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY
Competitors participate in the regatta entirely at their own risk.
The organizer will not accept any liability for material damage or personal injury or death in
connection or prior to, during, or after the regatta. By signing the application for an event and
paying the registration fee, each competitor or his representative accepts these conditions.
Each owner or operator of the catamaran is obliged to have insurance to third parties.
