F18 Long Distance Punta del Este
All Images Guille Pagano. Our neighbour Uruguay has some excellent coastlines, especially Punta del Este, a known beautiful vacational destiny with some nice sailing spots.
Several Arg F18 sailors travels every summer, and this year Punta received the first A-Cats that are being tested right now, pics later on those.
Above some images of a Long Distance raid organized past weekend. The F18 Class will continue to growth there too towards Buenos Aires 2016.

Rerport by Juan Grunwalt: “Excellent event with 14 races completed with tricky conditions for the Long Distance with many wind shifts and lulls extending the suspense on the winner till last mile.
Schewe-Viera were first overall , and we were tied for 2nd with Gonzalez-Azambuya. 4th was Diego Bailardo scoring 4 bullets but couldn´t maintain pace through the 14 races.
The Long Distance was started with a soft northerly rotating to the East, making all boats coming to together as the front boats were left in the calm and the rear ones advanced with the shifting breeze. All in all a good event and we think we are going to be able to organize next year a 25 mile course.”
