I love your posts and the highly technical nature of your commentary. Quick question: Do you think it is possible for the 72's to utilize the platform or trampoline area for aerodynamic lift? For example, design a more solid platform to squeeze the air between the boat and water to generate lift or create more stability for the boat.
HI Tom, on the videos you should try some proxies alternatives. On the tramp and aero setup I was thinking on a possible setup for a while , check this post https://catsailingnews.com/2009/08/italian-f18-championships-video-and-new.html back in 2009. Will contact some expert brains and will come back with technical feedback on how effective a winged shaped platform can be beyond current AC72s setups.
