Below Equipment used at Barcelona, the “Box” still Rules…  In the top 12 there is only 2 boat repeating platform and sails, all the others are integrated by a combination of 6 different boat platforms:
– Nikita
– Scheurer G6
– DNA
– Exploder
– Arrow MKII
– Vision

 & 5 different sails lofts
– Brewin Sails
– Landenberger Sails
– Ashby Sails
– Mischa sails
– Hammer Sails

So there is still no killer innovation in the As, in an almost full open development Class with No Cloth list, Painted hulls  & legal Flying boats.

Something has to be learned by other classes long time members that I must label well intentioned but sorry to tell, so deeply  uniformed on technical matters…

Why none of this equipment fanatics have found yet the magic paint or the untouchable foil, or the super special cloth, or the superior hull design to win every single race in any condition at every regatta? How come???

Well maybe it all has (at least by June 30th, 2013) to do with sailors skills and a still solid Box Rule. Ahh , I forgot: Steve Brewin won on a 2001 design, the Nikita designed by Nils Bunkenburg…. and the new Exploder A , Jacek was 3rd overall till last race, has for ie an excellent competitive price.

The Polish Exploder A13 costs "only" €9900, more than half the price of the DNA (€20k something).

I don´t think it was 10k vs 20k, as it was a launch offer, but surely they offer excellent cost/performance ratio well proven in this Europeans with Jacek.

Check previous posts where I remark the good cost and performance on the new Exploder.

And I'm confident they will do the same with an F18 in the future, already told them they should project to build a new one.

…… " To draw some attention to the new A13, and find a place for the eXploder brand in the market, boats in the initial phase should be offered at a discounted price of € 9,900 (net for the platform). Estimated price (late september) will continue to be attractive at € 12500 netto " ….
